Wendy and I have been on a number of motorcycle trips, including all of the South Western U.S, into Mexico (albeit only the Baha), all through the "Deep South" being Tennessee, the Carolinas, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, Missouri, Virginia, of course all through Western Canada and a number of times into the Northern States; the Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Washington, and I wish I had documented all of them, as each and every trip was worthy. But this trip to Long Beach was one of the best.
Home safe and sound. 7000 klks, 150 miles thick smoke, 21 burned out homes, 100 miles of absolutely nothing, 5 scares on Hiwy 49 on the Sierra Nevadas, the most fabulous motorcycle roads, 2 hrs of LA gridlock, an excellent Wilsonwedding, 500 miles of stunning coastal scenery, 1 new tire, 1 rough running engine, the Golden Gate again, 1 near fatal, only 2 little rain showers, 2 "mini cruises", 15 days, and the best part; many, many very old and very cherished friends all along the way.
