Washington is such a neat place, the monuments, the history, American idealism on full display. It is a stark reminder of what the country stands for, and how long of a road it is to get there. I recommend it to everyone to see at least once.

The Vietnam Wall is a powerful symbol; one cannot help but be affected by it. More so if you experienced that decade. Both times I have been there I have found people my age privately, quietly weeping, not only for lost souls but for the futility and stupidity of armed combat.
